Forest Studies At Aviary Gallery

MASS MoCA Residency; Hoosic River Project

Forest Study Drawings
I continued my New Year's tradition of participating in the Boston Fun-A-Day project by creating 31 study drawings during the month of January. This year's drawings were inspired by the scientists, research, ecology and landscape of Harvard Forest in Petersham, MA. Forest Flag De-Install at 210 Broadway, Cambridge
Big thanks to the fine folks at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum's Corporate Art Loan Program for the opportunity of exhibiting the Trifecta Editions Forest Flag print series. I am amazed by the volume of art work the deCordova has on loan throughout the greater Boston area; a real win-win for artists and the museum's corporate funders.

Public Art at Jackson Hole Center for the Arts
Camp Wood (wood and paper, 5'x2'x4') at Jackson Hole Arts Center, Jackson, WY. Greater Yellowstone Exhibition Opening
I'm excited to present my Greater Yellowstone exhibition from October 8th to 31st, 2015 at Daly Projects in Jackson, WY.
In January 2015 I was awarded the Teton ArtLab Artist Residency in Jackson, Wyoming. I used the month-long residency to investigate ecological and cultural forces at play within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. My research-driven artwork promotes ecological awareness by highlighting environmental management, cultural attitudes, and land-use practices found throughout the iconic ecosystem.
The year-long project culminates with a multi-disciplinary immersive installation featuring silkscreen prints, mixed media drawings, maps and installations in and outside the galleries at Daly Projects in Jackson, Wyoming. In conjunction with exhibition, I will realize several temporary installations throughout Teton County.
Opening reception is on Thursday, October 8th from 5 to 7PM.

Artist Talk at Harvard Forest
I am honored to be giving a talk on Friday at Harvard University's Research Forest in Petersham, Mass. I'll be presenting recent work to demonstrate the power of combining multiple disciplines (art, design, and science) to spotlight pressing environmental issues and everyday ecological phenomena. Upcoming Greater Yellowstone Installation in Jackson, WY
I'm concentrating the next couple of months on the upcoming Greater Yellowstone exhibition at Daly Projects in Jackson, Wyoming. The multi-disciplinary installation stems from my Teton ArtLab experience this past January. The work, ranging from silkscreen prints to landscape installations is based on research into cultural and environmental forces at play within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Place-based experience, secondary research and over 36 informational interviews enable me to reflect a range of attitudes, conditions, and practices found throughout the region’s cultural landscape. Exhibition runs from October 8th to October 31st at Daly Projects and beyond.
Hibernaculum Exhibition Extended Through July
Due to the overwhelmingly positive response from gallery visitors, the greater Boston creative community, local press and Innovation and Design Building tenants alike, Trifecta Editions and the Innovation and Design Building have extended the Hibernaculum exhibition through the month of July. Upcoming Artist Talks
I am delighted to give two talks in Savannah next week.
First talk, “A Guide to Designer Gone Rogue,” is on Wednesday, April 16 @ 12:00 pm at the Student Center, Savannah College of Art and Design. This presentation is geared towards enterprising creatives pursuing interests outside the track of conventional design profession. The content is focused on creative opportunities through the lens of case studies in independent practice.
Second talk, "Hybrid Vigor | Landscape x Design x Art" is on behalf the ASLA, GA Chapter, Savannah Division on Tuesday, April 15th @ 6:00 pm at S.P.A.C.E. Gallery Theater, 9 West Henry Street. This presentations is geared towards landscape architects/designers with a focus on arts and events in the service of ecological awareness and education.

Teton ArtLab Field Reports on Exhibition at Aviary Gallery

BLESS THIS MESH PRINT EXHIBITION
I am delighted to be included in Bless this Mesh, a screen printing show co-curated by Helen Popinchalk and James Weinberg at Thomas Young Gallery at South Boston’s Distillery. The opening is on Thursday, March 5 from 7 - 9 pm and a closing reception will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 5 - 7 pm. I hope to see folks come out of there snow caves for both events.
