Internal Lecture Promo
Sasaki management is very supportive of new ideas and self-initiated projects. I have recently started to help produce the ongoing guest lecture series and am please to announce the amazing Dan D’Oca of Interboro Partners will be discussing his work with us on October 24th. If you appreciate smart urban planning/design and fantastic graphics, check out this preview of his forthcoming publication The Arsenal of Exclusion & Inclusion.
Promo blurb provided by Dan D’Oca:
In “When Life Gives you Lemons …” Dan will talk about recent projects by Interboro Partners, the New York-based planning and design firm he co-founded in 2002. Interboro has garnered acclaim for a subtle aesthetic of social activism, based on actively observing urban phenomena and finding the neglected, the underserved, or even the abhorred as openings for architectural possibility. Projects to be discussed include the MoMA PS1 YAP project Holding Pattern, the forthcoming book The Arsenal of Exclusion & Inclusion, and studies of dead shopping malls, shrinking cities, and other entropic conditions.
