Jackson was wonderful, but I'm relieved to be back in Cambridge. As a wrap up to the Teton ArtLab artist residency, I've published 31 field reports on the project webpage here. These field reports document my Teton ArtLab residency, including research, landscape exploration and creative development of the project. Field reports take the form of mixed media drawings, maps, educational diagrams, photography and one-page proposals. Each field report image is coupled with a few lines of text for context.

I was happy to land in Jackson, WY on Friday to start the month-long artist residency. In conjunction with my artist residency at the Teton ArtLab, I’ll be participating in this year’s Boston Fun-A-Day project by posting a daily Field Report on the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem for the month of January. Hibernaculum Residency Print

Pop-up Exhibition at HarborArts' PORT CALL
I'm delighted to be invited to exhibit work at HarborArts' PORT CALL, their inaugural winter shipyard soirée. I'll be showing a variety of work including pieces from my ongoing Trifecta Editions residency and some warm-up work for my upcoming Teton ArtLab residency in Jackson WY.
This BLDG 32 showcase will include a curated pop-up exhibition featuring works by compelling contemporary artists, paired with sonidos calientes by Ricardo De Lima (of Picó Picante) and friends and custom cocktails from Boston’s own GrandTen Distillery..
So join us on Dec 13th for an evening of art, music, and libations in BLDG 32, an immense raw industrial warehouse HarborArts is in the process of transforming into an incubator space for public art in Boston.
$30 ticket includes complimentary food and drinks; all proceeds from the event will support local artists and arts programming in the shipyard.

BSLA EP EVENT
In our ongoing effort to expose emerging professionals to the full spectrum of landscape architecture career opportunities, we are delighted to announce both National Park Service landscape architect Charles Tracy and fellow EP and landscape architect Jason Miller as our guest speakers.
Charles Tracy is a National Park Service landscape architect who guides community trail development and regional landscape conservation initiatives in New England. Tracy is currently superintendent of the New England National Scenic Trail and a national lead for NPS artist-in-residence programs and art partnerships. Charles, a National Park Service landscape architect, will discuss his work with NPS including Winged Wisdom--Connecting with Art in National Parks and other efforts that leverage art as programming as a means to draw new and more diverse audiences to national parks.
Stantec’s Jason Miller will also be joining us to present “LARE Lessons Learned” in an open dialog presentation to equip emerging landscape architects with insight into the process of professional registration.

Teton ArtLab Residency

I am delighted to be a 2015 Artist-in-Residence at the Teton ArtLab in Jackson, Wyoming, where I will continue my research-driven work focused on America’s regional landscape ecology. Where as my recent Wild West at BDGA project focused on the contiguous United States, the Teton ArtLab Residency, will focus the regional lens on the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
My proposed Teton ArtLab project is to create a series of prints that map the pressures on Yellowstone’s ecological landscape and its natural resources. I am particularly interested in exploring the relationship between environmental tourism and conservation. My intention is to highlight environmental management, policy and design practices that promote ecological awareness and a greater sense of environmental stewardship while balancing the conflicting needs of man and nature.

One-night Pop-up Exhibition

Graphic Adaptation
Considering their ongoing support of innovative practice and efforts to solving environmental issues, I’m delighted to have published an article in the October issue of Landscape Architecture Frontiers (LAF). LAF is a refreshingly critical, bilingual landscape architecture journal based out of Beijing. My article, “Graphic Adaptation,” considers the creative practice of communicating ecological issues with an inspired combination of art and design in order to fill the gap left by conventional landscape architecture visualization techniques. I explore recent projects including Wild West at BDGA, Forman Watercolor Diagrams, and my ongoing Trifecta Editions Residency…all in the context of engaging an informed public to solve pressing ecological principals. Hibernaculum Update
I am happy to successfully return from my second of five visits to Trifecta Editions Hibernaculum artist residency program in the Adirondack Mountains. Creative highlights included testing various design prototypes and mock-ups including the "timber target," "snack stand" and several trail and site marker options for a path and wayfinding system for the 30 acre site. As part of my contribution to the residency I'm designing and managing the installation of a low-impact path system that will link points of ecological and geological interest as well as dozen of my light-touch landscape installations. Installations all fall within the framework of alternative visualization of woodland ecology processes and challenges.
Trifecta Editions Hibernaculum Residency
I'm headed to Ticonderoga, NY to begin several landscape installations as part of my year-long residency with Trifecta Editions. My work will focus on my ongoing interest in exploring new approaches to communicating landscape issues in the context of past, present and future challenges to the lands of North America. Forman Watercolor Diagram project is complete. In preparation for my Trifecta Editions artist residency in the Adirondack region, I created three dozen study diagrams based on Richard TT Forman's Landscape Mosaic. A dozen select regional ecology diagrams can now be viewed on the project page here.

Wild West by BDGA is a multi-disciplinary art and design installation that was made possible by an A-team of creative professionals with a wonderfully diverse set of skills and interests. Wild West at BDGA is a multi-disciplinary art and design installation focused on America’s long-running conflicted relationship with its landscape and natural resources. The installation includes drawings, prints, art objects and custom displays and features cross-disciplinary collaborations with a variety of creative talent.
